Julie Visotski

Holistic Psychologist

My name is Julie. I am, first and foremost, a mother to my beautiful son, who has been my inspiration to become the best version of myself and to follow my dreams and passion even when it seemed impossible.

I am also a daughter to my mother who has been by my side through thick and thin and continues to have complete faith in me in all my life adventures and endeavours.

My path in psychology

My curiosity on the workings of human mind began in my adolescent years. I would observe and question people’s interaction and responses to certain cues. I would wonder how and why people feel, think and act in a specific way. People’s behaviour seemed extremely interesting to me.
I have dedicated many years to study and explore the fascinating connection between emotional, intellectual and physical elements of our being.
I have absorbed myself into traditional and alternative techniques, such as mindfulness, anthroposophy and emotional coaching, to be able to find and offer healing solutions to those seeking my assistance and care.

You have the power to do anything

I truly believe that most of the time our body has the ability to heal itself through knowing how to reach a peace of mind. Many ailments are the result of a troubled thought process and a loss of true awareness of self.
Practicing the skill of mind relaxation, learning the ability to acquire consciousness of self and the environment, as well as, adopting to tune into the quiet whispers of your heart may lead to enhanced emotional awareness and a healthier and happier state of wellbeing.

As a Nutritional Psychoeducator & Therapist, I provide guidance on how nutrient intake impacts mood, stress tolerance, inflammation, energy, sleep, cognition, medication needs, and behavioral dysfunction.

Diet plays an increasingly important role in the mental health and well-being of individuals in westernized societies. People often eat to re-lieve feelings of anxiety or stress, without realizing that their dietary choices actually result in grea-ter fatigue, stress, and mood imbalance over the long-term.

These dietary influences on mood and behavior have an important impact on the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, including possible misdiagnosis of non-psychiatric con-ditions created by today’s modern dietary lifestyle.

As a Holistic Health Psychologist, I believe in treating a person as a whole, rather than a set of symptoms. My approach is integrative, meaning that I would look for connections between thoughts, emotions, physical body and spiritual self in an attempt to understand the roots of concerns and reasons for mental discomfort.

I combine traditional and alternative methods to establish interconnections between inner being and outer environment of my clients to enable their deeper understanding and awareness of themselves.
